These were perfect for a shitty day in Auckland. Thank you Bry.

This was a great race meeting, and like the 'Festival of Speed', you can watch it for free each year via live streaming. I logged on at 9.30pm (NZ time) to watch the practise session on Saturday, and thought I would watch for an hour or so, but it was so good that I watched until about 4.00am!

Then I logged on again on Sunday evening to watch all the races. Fantastic stuff! Again I watched until about 4.00am. The drivers were certainly pushing their cars to the limit - and beyond - and there was some brilliant racing. As the commentating team keep saying, "... he's drive with much aplomb and vigour...". You don't hear that vocabulary used by motorsports commentators here in NZ!

I almost cried when I saw the Bugatti T35 crash, but for me the highlights were watching the little A40 Farina and Mini doing their David v Goliath routines; the early 911 race (which looked more like a drifting competition); the big Camaros and Mk1 Jags; and the two TVR Granturas 'almost' scoring a 1-2 finish.

Here are a few images from a friend who was there...
