I may have started a thread in this before, but can't find it!

We are keen watchers of UK police period dramas.

Robson Green - now driving a black MG Magnette in the new series of Grantchester. Jag Mk5 convertible in the opening sequence in tonight's.

Often good stuff in Midsomer Murders even though not a period series.

Father Brown. Bunty's Sunbeam Talbot convertible. Others such as XK Jag, Alvis convertible, Wolseley of course. Early series, RME Riley.

Inspector George Gently. All repeats. Rover 3 litre then Rover 2000. His sergeant, MGB then Ford Corsair. Various Ford Zephyrs etc.

Not to mention some immaculate coaches and commercial vehicles in several, far shinier than they would have been in period!

Some genuinely older series such as 'The Saint', often have a car theme. Pretty corny, but good for car spotting.

Not a Police Drama as such, more the other side of the world a Shonky Antique Dealer called " Lovejoy " Ian McShane and his Morris Minor convertible , Nurse Gladys Emmanuel in " Open All Hours " also had a Morrie 1000 ..
On another Shonky Note there is always Del Trotter in the Reliant Robin three wheeler " Classic Car " or not ??.

Inspector Linley and his Bristol...

Best of all, Colombo and his classic Peugeot 403 convertible:

Which, of course, isn't from the UK, but it's a French car in America so it's definitely different.
