NZ Car Museums

I'm heading north on a road trip over late December/early January (from Dunedin through to Taupo or so) and am keen to check out any museums with interesting historic cars. I'm primarily interested in NZ Specials and similar things from that era (or earlier). E.g. The RA Lycoming at Classics Museum in Hamilton is on my list, as is another visit to Southwards. What else is hiding around the country that I could check out?

I think there may be several private collections where you might get invited to pop your head around the door if word gets around.

Hopefully I'll get to Southwards again some time, as last time (2000) I either didn't have my camera or I was short of film.

When I was at Classics in May the RA Lycoming was in the workshop, if you ask nicely at the office they may take you round there.
