Oh boy, I can't get enough of these cars!

I've never managed to find out the true story behind the Led Zeppelin McLaren M8E (#12 car which appears at approx the 1.20 mark in the last video). Did Led Zeppelin actually own this car?

From what I understand, the car was raced in the 1974 Interseries sponsored by Zep drummer John Bonham who was a pretty full on car nut.. had a large collection of Hot Rods and classic cars

Thanks for that info Bry. I have a cutting I took from a magazine back in the '90s of the car when it was for sale. Its referred to as "The Led Zeppelin Car", but almost no other info is given. At the time it was being used as a display, being hung from a ceiling! Makes sense I could find no info about it, I was looking through the Can-Am history! duh!
