A Series 2 Lotus 7 with NZ history, not totally original, (it's almost as much of a hybrid as my Alfa-powered one!) and a lot of work to do. My experience is that the comment about previous NZ registration requiring no extensive modifications is correct - only an inspection for road-worthiness was required.

Good project for someone interested in the history though :)

The last reported example of Cliff Everson's Lotus Sevens.

Built in 1963 by Cliff Everson after a trip to the UK.
I've had this car for several years and it's time it was finished and gone.
The chassis has had extensive repairs and sandblasted. Engine has been fully rebuilt, valve inserts replaced for unleaded fuel.
Gearbox rebuilt as well as the original Lotus style Triumph Spitfire remote section fitted.
Later model Escort rear axle fitted as the original Anglia unit was too short meaning the top links were inside the chassis.
New shocks all round.
Pedal box fabricated with bias adjustment to braking.
Brakes overhauled with new hoses.
There is still quite a load of work to get it finished. As the car has been registered previously in NZ, I understand that there is no requirement to complete extensive modifications. A retrospective inspection is required.
All panel work included, apart from the engine cover.
An excellent project with a majority of the work completed.
