This collection of beautiful historic Australian motor racing photographs was taken by Roaring Season member Dale Harvey. I was really excited to see these pics, which capture a wonderful period from the late 1960s through early 1970s, from various New South Wales venues, including Bathurst, Newcastle Hillclimb, Amaroo, Oran Park, and Warwick Farm, and Catalina Park, the later four sadly long since gone.
In amongst them are Formula 5000, and Sports Cars, right through to early Sports Sedan racing. Dale has really done a superb job capturing many of these cars at their best angles, and on race tracks that were so full of character, has managed to freeze-frame these vehicles at their most dramatic. This is exactly the reason The Roaring Season was created, for these sorts of wonderful collections to be shared and enjoyed. Thanks Dale for allowing us to see them.
