Hi steve, did you see my email in the latest Muscle car masters magazine? I responded to your story about the first wellington street race in a 'whimsical' tone.. heh... My son will hate me now!

Strange how so few members of this Forum use an Avatar! I find them useful on other forums because they help me to quickly spot a particular member in a long list of posts. Do you think we need to post some instructions on how to set one up?
    Cheers, John Bennoch

Hi Steve. Did you get to the NZFMR last week? I didn't see you at our apartment. Have you still got the spare T-shirt? Post it to me - I'm happy to pay. I have already sold the first two shirts that were too small!
    Cheers, John Bennoch

This is becoming a habit,I phoned John Armstrong last night to get some of the numbers he raced under, as I have had the use of several Photo albums to scan the contents of. I had promised to scan some of Johns history which is easy to identify, but pictures with no titles are another story.John had not heard of "theroaringseason.com" and thought I was referring to the stags bellowing in the hills behind where he lives in the Marlborough Sounds.I have now Emailed him the link so we will have another knowledgable mind on the site . I tried with Avon Hyde, but if it doesn't have pistons he is lost.

I have this morning delivered a couple of photo's to Rod Collingwood, along with the URL to this site, he was not aware of its existence,he was also given some instructions as to where he can find things relating to him. As he is still involved almost full time restoring and maintaining cars, his circle of friends will also be informed of theroaringseason.I expect Rod will become another valued contributor.

I have received an Email that has a number of Pictures of Morgan cars being assembled in the Morgan factory and would like to make them available to the members, how can I go about doing this.
  7. Hi there Mike, please feel free to start a thread on the Aus Muscle Car Masters. I know it seems like this is a Kiwi forum, but my intention is that it be an international forum about everything to do with historic racing and motorsport history from around the world. Its just that most of our members at this early stage are Kiwis, so it has more of a kiwi flavour.

Why not start a thread just entitled "Australian Muscle Car Masters" and we can all add our own photos and stories etc to the thread?

    Hi Steve,

What about a 'Wanted' section on the site.

I have recently purchased some back copies of Allan Dick's 'Classci Driver' magazine and have finished reading issue # 10 with Part 1 of the Paul Fahey story. I can't purchase issue # 11 but really want to read the rest of the story as it covers the Escort and Capri years. I am looking to see if anyone has the issue and might be able to photocopy it for me.

    Cheers Mike (kiwi285)

PS fantastic to see the photos going up on the website and a big thank you for doing the resizing for me.

    Steve,
I just added to the chev coupe thread ,its my intention to write a bit about this for my own purposes in the near future ,rathing than keeping adding stuff ,likewise I am covering my involvement with the early days of the XU1 Holden and have a bit of stuff going on about Rileys Anglia and what I was going to do if the All comers had not finished at the end of 67 ,also what I found out from Traco about the Olds engines back then ,etc you might have to bear with me with time ,also I don't want to be appearing like a know all and hijacking your excellent forum
