About Rob Brown
- Biography:
- In 1962, aged ten, I "went over" to Lotus from Jaguar ( my father was a Jaguar man). Stirling Moss was putting Lotus on the map with wins at Monaco and some big shunts as well. Jim Clark was emerging, the Lotus 25 and Elan, then Cortina were launched. Magical times for me.
My first club car was a two-door Mk1 Cortina with a breathed on 1500 in it, then came a replica Lotus 7, followed by a couple of Lotus Cortinas.
Have owned the ex Norris Miles, Ross West, Warwick Chandler, Findlay Brothers Lotus Super Seven S2 for over thirty years which included over twenty years of historic racing throughout the North Island. The car is now undergoing a road-use conversion. Any photos of this car or anecdotes welcomed. Am slowly finding my way around this site in search of relevant info and photos myself.
