    Hi Barry
Are you the same Barry Gray who was a member of the Hawkes Bay Car Club in the 70's? Drove a Monaro and GTHO?
  2. Hello, all. Just joined this great Forum. There are two things I would like to travel back in time to do. 1. to fly P51 Mustangs over Europe, protecting the B17s, and 2. Following the entire 1970 Trans Am ( and Can-Am as a bonus!) Series. I've always been a Ford fan, with a soft-spot for the ubiquitous Valiant Charger, being a genuine threat, with a 265CI torquey straight six, it was the fastest in a straight line, but its handling in the bendy bits severley hampered it. When I first read of the upcoming Trans Am for 1970 during late 69, all the mags. wrote about the teams build-ups, politics, driver line-ups. What a season it was. If anyone on this forum has any film or photos of the races, please let me know.
I will post photos of my Challenger when I get her registered.
    Kind Regards
    Barry
