    Hello Gerald

    I just loved your article about your yellow Torana XU-1 "Love Affair with a Legend" Your XU-1 is somewhat still alive, it's in lots of pieces and a little worse for wear but it's all there including original block and head. I had the pleasure of viewing this car a year or so ago and if I didn't have my 2 Torana's I would of bought it. I have a Grey LC GTR and a Chateau Mauve LJ XU-1 that I am currently rebuilding.

    Do you happen to have any other old photo's of racing XU-1's that you can share with me?

Greetings fellow motor racing gear heads. I am another middle aged Kiwi wannabe racer, was a serious speccie in my youth mainly at Pukekohe, first meeting April 1967. Have done historic freelance motor sport bio-profiles for NZ Classic Car for the last 7 years. Never raced. Best car I had was a yellow 1970 Holden Torana XU1, worst 1974 Morris Marina van Ugh! I collect motoring and motor racing memorabilia as well as cult 1st edition fiction and enjoy taking photographs of our disappearing automotive landscape.
