As the Earl Howe race was for British pre-war cars only, I seem to have a lot of Bentley pics, especially at Goodwood!
Loads of Jaguar pics too... That was also due to the fantastic collection at the British Motor Museum at Gaydon and Coventry. (Pics disappeared...)
Last post for a while. Cruising again... back on about December 21st.
Back on land!
Discussions with my dear wife last night regarding 2027. Goodwood changed the dates of the 2026 Revival AFTER we'd booked our flights which means missing out on 2026. I'm hoping - health permitting - to make it in 2027.
Happy New Year to all.
Sad to see entrant numbers dropping dramatically at several race meetings. It seems that rocketing costs have a lot to do with it, especially in our own groups, where the average driver age has always been on the high side. A month's pension for an Aucklander to do a Taupo meeting?
The loss of Pukekohe seems to have right played into Tony Quinn's lap.
The combined total of the three longest established groups at Taupo this weekend - Pre 65, Mini and ERC doesn't even come near to one full grid, let alone 3.
