November Caffeine and Classics, despite the Beach Hop as a distraction, and the grubby weather, still a healthy turnout, but about half the usual, with no need for the overflow car parks.
Several groups were there in considerable numbers, including Lotus, Early Holden, Ford Cortinas and Corsairs, plus a large group of Italian cars, mainly Alfas. As always, cars I hadn't seen there before and several catch ups with other enthusiasts.

ERC is the Ford obscured far right a Convertible Mark Two Cortina ?- Crayford perhaps ??.
Your photo.

Found the answer - John Vevers photo - there were 8 Corsairs there as Ray would have seen - Didn't think there were that many in NZ - some recent imports by the Rego's

I do get a bit miffed when a recreation isn't noted as such in a race programme. This is a classic case. Some of the Leadfoot entrants are also guilty of supplying slightly misleading information for the programme. Don't get me wrong, it is brilliant seeing cars like this or a sharknose 1961 Ferrari, but a bit of up front honesty wouldn't go amiss. Apparently there is even talk of a couple more V16 BRMs. No one is ever going to complain about hearing one of those on full song!

ERC,
have a look at the nostalgia forum, on there they are saying that Hall & Hall are working with one of the owen family to build 3 v16 BRMs is this the start of another F250 saga i wonder.
Great to see all those cars through your photos. Thanks!
You can read more about the BRM recreation here:

Well, I have booked and paid for my flights to do Goodwood in 2021 so hopefully, there will be at least one V16 running. I have only ever seen one running, way back in 2000. I am also in touch with the Bourne Museum and have arranged a private viewing on the Tuesday before Goodwood - assuming of course that the Goodwood date is the usual one, otherwise I'll have some major reshuffling to do....
PS: Just found out the dates have been announced. Revival is one week later than expected (September 17th to 19th) so I do indeed have to reshuffle everything.
Managed to get the Bognor Regis Premier Inn sorted, so it is now over to my travel agent to change the flights.
Ho hum. So much for planning early.
PPS: The flight back from LAX to AKL now $700 more than I'd paid...

Thanks for all your great photos - ERC .. " 1,100,056 " views is a good number .. and it didn't break or brake the vBulletin system !!
Well done.
Happy that others can share them Roger. A bit of a waste, just locked into my own computer.
Note the ERC pic above, that the Marcos looks decidedly lopsided. After an altercation in a domino type accident or maybe the bad smash on the brow of the hill, I made a determined effort to correct it. It was lopsided due to an obvious accident way before my time, when I presume the bonnet was replaced and the extension to the front chassis rails to which the bonnet swivel hinges are attached, wasn't levelled. It sits so much better now.
Currently working on getting it back on the road again, before offering it for sale. April 2021, I will have owned it for 30 years!

2018 - camera on full zoom and even then cropped, but hopefully, the next visit (2021) I'll have one camera with the longer zoom. (Not the bazooka lens, but a camera with a 2000mm zoom.) It isn't an ideal camera for motorsport, but OK for an occasional shot.

The Greg Bellingham XJS making a long awaited return to the track today, driven by Todd Forsyth, whose Telstar was being driven by father Paul, but, just behind Todd here is Greg Bellingham, first time out in this MGB GT and also on track, in a BMW, Greg's daughter Casey!

Took the bazooka lens but it was playing up. Not sure why it wouldn't auto focus. Maybe not enough juice in the camera battery?
Nope. I think it needs a repair to the Auto/Manual focus switch. Ho hum...
From Sunday.

Sometimes, a photograph has an extra dimension because of attitude or something else. Sadly, this is a car that suffered panel damage not long after these were taken.
