ERC, Ray, so true -
- I was talking to an old Motorsport guy over the weekend, well he is 81 and I am 78, he went to Pukekohe in 1963 and was at the last meeting in 2023. the " old guy " is a family friend and when we get together we talk cars trucks Motorsport - he remembers those crowds and being able to, even as a spectator see and even talk to the drivers of the era, the GP guys from England and Europe and the " Allcomer " Saloon boys, I was there from October 1965 on.
As a token - photo of a car of the time - the most well known Jaguar Mark 11 - think Steve Millen driving after Dave Silcock had raced it. - has big flares by now, think it is Pukekohe !

Ardmore 1957, 1959 and 1960.
A group of photos from the New Zealand Grand Prix meetings which appeared in the NZGP Annuals - a publication I have not heard of.
All from Graham Edney archives.
I joined the NZIGP in 1966, so I could get discounted tickets to the Grand Prix and the Wills Six Hour [ Gold Leaf 3 hour ] Race meetings, but I don't remember there being an Annual publication.
Other Pukekohe meetings were run by ACC and NSCC where from 1967 I got in as an NSCC member or worked as a Marshall while having to pay to go to ACC meetings.
1957 - Ron Roycroft in the now old 4.5 litre Ferrari [ ex Louis Rosier of France - hence the Pale " French " Blue colour, leads the field - he did for 8 laps.
