THE END !!!!!
Unbelievable, thanks Dale and Tony.
Always loved that Healey of Bonds when it became outrageous!
Photo Title states 8-9-1968 ATCC for most of the 68 shots Steve. Great record keeping by Dale with this. Many of the Bathurst shots were from Easter not the traditional October as most would assume now.
Cheers
Tony
Yep, thats right Tony, the Australian Touring Car Championship for 1968 was held at Warwick Farm on September 9, 1968. The Monaro arrived after the Camaro in late 1968. The Camaro, from what I believe, only ever actually raced 4 times. The reason I wondered if the shots showing the Camaro might be from the ATCC race was because although it did race one other time at Warwick Farm (the cars race debut), prior to the ATCC, I don't think Bob Jane was at that event. The only other two times the Camaro raced was at Calder Park and Catalina Park. Its ATCC race at the Farm was its last outing.
Awesome shots Dale. While 'Pete' made it almost easy to take a great shot of him, those two from the rear at OP are outstanding efforts. Tony I think the first shot at WF is best left uncropped. Can you imagine the faces of the OSH guys seeing that :D Actually I probably do some of them a disservice as I know one who in the day would have been hanging there with the best of them.
If you have any more on disc please share them as they are great!
Cheers
Lee
BTW, does anyone know what happened to that TZ1?
Dale, do you have any of Terry Allans '67 Camaro?
No sorry, none of Terry Allan. I am not sure about the BMW. I would have to dig out some old magazines and books to tell you when the V8 was fitted to Foley's Alfa, but it has the 4 cylinder in these shots.
Dale.
I hope Dale won't mind me copying his photos from the Catalina Park thread into here also, just to bring all his photos together in one thread.
