Even as a young fella I was supporting motorsport financially...I use to buy ice creams from the Hampden Dairy on my way home from school!:p

Brilliant images Ross! Just outstanding.
That they are Steve, just goes to show `how cool is old school!'
Fantastic photos, Ross.:D
My first exposure to motorsport was being taken to the B&H as a kid in the early '70s - the FIAT 125T and Charger are my abiding memories.:)
Remember the Bruce McLaren Trust has 100,000 photographs running from the 50's to the 90's. They have owned these for 14 years now and have been steadily scanning and cataloguing them.

More like so you could pick out "your" car in the dark.
Some folks used them to signal their requirements at the next pit stop, fuel tyres brakes etc
I hope people aren't getting bored with these! Here are another batch from 1975

Found these in a Auckland Car Club magazine November 1988, not sure of some but some one will know.
1st looks like it is a Rotary powered sports, and someone is after him. Then Datsuns and Commodore is I think Torkler.
This was a National meeting.
The first one looks to be my father in his rotary Chevron...
More from meeting.
Pullman in Falcon GT Coupe, followed by Vern Muller.
I know the Escort which is followed by RX3 of Murray Higgins, obscured Commodore, and Commodore Torkler
Dave Smythe in his quick little Escort a nice car this and he still has it parked.
Bob Cullinane in his RX7
And Barry Algie in his Monaro followed by Bruce Manon in his real quick turbo Escort.
And the Minis, Burton and Heron at it again.
Don't know the other mini
Believe this is the man who now plays with the Alfetta and a Cologne Capri in between other cars. He was quick in this Porsche championship and won it.
Gordon Burr
not quite Rod! Pulman followed by George Sheweiry in a Genuine Cobra coupe (#211) not Vernes converted XA coupe. lol
This is another I discovered, Kevin McNamara at Bay Park
There you go got first reply/correction in record time, of coarse George, completely slipped the mind your Cobra, never could keep up with what you were/are in, cheers cobber. PS told Banner to sort his out the other day as well, gee they hard work those boy's.
That commodore, i used to think was " home made"
Turned out it was ex group C car in a GMPa Body
Finished second at sandown ( between brock and moffat) and 6th bathurst in 1980 with Gary Rodgers, fred giestler.
Did i think 4 bathursts before coming to NZ and updated to GP A
Only recently went back to aust for the resto back to group C
