The Capri was Bill McFarlane from Dunedin. The Capri was a UK Group 1 car originally bought into NZ by a English gent whose name escapes me, was run in the South Island Production Series by him for a few years, then purchased by Bill.

in above photos The Mk1 Escort No. 20 Robert Van Gisbergen (Cheese) and the Anglia 64 is myself. The monday after this meeting the escort was in my care and remains there today. The Anglia was handed to my brother and then Brian Friend and that was the last i know of it. Anglia was a neat little bit of fun.
Couple of photos of car later on, different steerer, same place, same angle, car was well trained by prevoius owners.
Capri is Terry O'Brien from Paeroa. It had 302 in it and was quick. It was later painted red. Terry put the engine in a jet boat at some stage.

The Cortina of Steve Vigurs is the old Clyde Collins car, sadly long since departed this earth. Don Grindleys RX7 is still rotary powered there, before he fitted with Buick V6. Boy did that motor have some lungs!

Yep, thats right. I think the Chevy appeared when Bellis had it. Collins had a Mustang motor in the car.
