Ernie and his wife with the car were pitted back to back with us at Hampton Downs when I was "helping" Grant Clearwater with the 3 cars he ran.. Ernie showed me a couple of his "adventure books". He started a new hard cover one for each, the NZ trip was one. He was a gifted illustrator and downright good guy. As he came from Boston, and never seen a Boston bun that he found in a cafe in NZ, he got the recipe, wrote it in the book, drew pictures and such. It was a very pleasant "life episode"
