Those are fantastic. I'm trying to figure out what sort of car they used as the basis for the Custaxie.

I was wondering the same thing Steve..Thunderbird?
A 1955 Customline, I believe
Not the actual car David, the one in the link above.
Sorry!
Btw David, the Kerry Rout Anglia you mention above was actually owned by Ron Rutherford (famous for the 250M Zephyr engined single seater which may have been originally built by Wally Darrel).(And of course Kelford Kams, and Woodford Glen) I actually collected the car from AK and drove it to ChCh for Ron, can you imagine doing that these days? It had a standard twin cam in it otherwise was same as Fahey raced it.
PK.
And No.7 in my list
Does anyone remember Bob Slade's left steer Anglia, it appeared for a season and a bit then disappeared and to my knowledge never reappeared, it was white with a dark stripe running front to back.
#7 on da list:)
was later converted back to standard roof triang
And there was the one primarily used as a road car, converted by Julian (?) Tordoff in Hamilton, did the odd Hamilton club event, seen recently on Trae Me. Red with black Vinyl roof.
I recall Paul Barnard telling me that he sold his car to someone in Taupo. Don't believe it's been seen since. I know Paul was trying to track it down at one stage. Will give him a call & let everyone know. Better still, I'll try and get Paul to contribute here.
