Perhaps your cheap iPad is not used to being south of the equator and is seeing everything upside down and back to front.
Do you notice the problem before or after going to the pub ?
Why don't you send it to me and I''ll check it for you mate.
p.s. Hope you do get this annoying issue sorted out.
