The Group 6- 1966- 1972 Trans-Am race was won by a 1964 car. It was a fun race to watch and the lead changed several times but
John Hildebrand came through in his 1964 Pontiac Tempest/GTO # 49 for the win.

See the big lift cam, a very short open duration, almost no wear pattern on the back side of the lobe. Guess it could be a fairly new cam.
Those heads are a very nice piece of engineering, you can see why they performed so well.
Great history ken on such a rare machine
You guys make it all so interesting so I am giving you a closer look at the 1967 GTA 1600 head.
