I'm missing the 1959 programme but have the others plus the two books, 'The Waimate 50: An Era Past' and 'The racing years 1959-1966 - The history of the Waimate 50', if there's any particular...
Currently beign restored by Noel Atley and due to be on track soon. Here's a post on the 'HVRA - Historic & Vintage Racing Association NZ Inc' group by Allan Duston with some pictures and a video of...
I'm heading north on a road trip over late December/early January (from Dunedin through to Taupo or so) and am keen to check out any museums with interesting historic cars. I'm primarily interested...
There has been a lot of spam lately :( Unfortunately the vast majority of new accounts that get created are bots/fakes. I remove it as soon as I see it so most of you hopefully don't see much of it.
Have just been messaging Steve and he's given the go ahead to upgrading the site which will resolve the issues we've all been having. I'll communicate more details in due course once we have the plan...
There's also a problem with the site that's preventing some people accessing it. Not sure how wide spread that is but it simply won't load for some people and works fine for others. I've raised it...
Nice haul Roger. I have the first issue but otherwise missing most of the first two years of Auto News. If anyone has duplicates or issues they'd be keen to move along let me know.

I've done this for Milan and Terry S, BUT... I don't think the site is sending emails currently :( I'm investigating other ways for them to reset their passwords.

Possibly an illusion but it also looks to me like there's a downhill slope between the track and where the photo was taken.
With Teretonga being an anti-clockwise track I can't think where that photo would have been taken unless the track was being run in reverse. Not sure if that was ever done?
Sorry guys, hadn't been on the site for a few days so have only just seen them and promptly removed them and the user.
Makes it an interesting time for the Canterbury Car Club to have launched their bid for significant investment- https://7846074b1.flowpaper.com/RacingtotheFutureBookletIssuu/#page=1
Entry fees start at well over $4000 for the Time Trial and are nearly $10,000 for the Targa Competition. It's no wonder there's a shortage of people with the time and money to enter.
Better...

At this stage I think it's just the age of the forum software and it's server. I'm testing out migrating to a more modern server and newer forum software and the performance seems a lot better. I'd...
That's me :)
Have you tried the 'Snipping Tool' program? Should be installed by default on Windows. Useful for taking a picture of something like a PDF page and saving as an image. Can send some instructions on...
Thanks Roger.
Good point on the search result highlighting. I've changed that now so the search term will be highlighted in red text rather than the black background.
There are some options with...
As I mentioned in my introduction post I've been nagging Steve with offers of help in running the forum. A big part of that is going to be getting it upgraded as the forum software and the server...
