    Happy Birthday - The Roaring Season!

    The Roaring Season is 2 years old today!

    I started this site because of my enthusiasm for motorsport history, and modern day historic motorsport. I've so enjoyed seeing the site grow, meeting new members, both personally and online, and being constantly amazed at the level of knowledge and enthusiasm we have here in our online community.

    I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed, and everyone who has visited this site. From the incredible photos collections that have been shared, to the knowledge passed around. Even those who are regular visitors, but not members, who come to view the photos, articles, and threads. Its great to know people are taking an interest in the effort put into this site.

    Thanks again to you all. Long may it continue to grow.

    Cheers
    Steve

    Hell has it been that long - just seems like last year. An amazing amount of info being passed around and I am sure it will mature and continue to grow.

    If it wasnt for the Roaring Season, I would not have been in contact with Steve Holmes , thus enabling me to get the Team Cambridge Monaro that I have spent 43 years trying to find and own.
    The guy that built the car found me through it.
    It kept me fueled while building my XA Coupe last year.
    Great site, met great people here also found old friends.
    And thats in just one year.
    AAAA ++++
    Sincerely wish the best for this and hope it never loses the fun.

    Agree with all, thanks Steve, the site has kept me out of the shed for many hours . Also kept me out of the realms of TV so it can't be bad.

    My congrats too!!. I only found out about the site when i sent an email to Allan Walton at NZCC to see if he would like me to send him some DVDs of old motor racing shots a couple of years ago. He forwarded the email to Steve Holmes and we went from there. I have more to send too.

    The cake was very nice! And the wine!

    Congratulations Steve. You have put in a great effort and the forum has gone from strength to strength in those 2 years. We really appreciate your efforts in "working" the forum, keeping some of the threads on the boil, welcoming the newcomers, all the other little nudges to make it flow. My thanks also to David McKinney and another person from the Autosport Nostalgia Forum for emailing me in the initial stages.
