    SPR Models - 1:43 BRM P160B #23 French GP 1972 (Howden Ganley)

We have just received stock of the #23 BRM P160B that Howden Ganley drove in the 1972 French Grand Prix. This is another high-quality 1:43rd scale resin model from the Spark range. Here are a few images of the model...

Although the images above show Ganley's BRM in 'Marlboro' livery, the tobacco decals are not pre-applied to the model. Ridiculous as it may seem, tobacco advertising laws do not allow this, however the decals are supplied with the model if you wish to apply them yourself. Lawmakers obviously believe that the mere sight of a classic racecar displaying period cigarette advertising will have us all suddenly take up smoking!

This model is currently in stock, and available from the SPR Models online store at www.spr-models.co.nz

Marlboro, JPS, Rothmans, Winfield, Camel, Cambridge, Lexington etc etc - can't understand how I never took it up.

Great to have a model of a Kiwi F1 driver outside the "trio at the top". Slightly odd that Spark chose French GP since Howden didn't actually start the race, his car taken by Beltoise, whose car was out of action. And Mark Webber complains of team orders....
