1971-1973 N.Z. Motor racing film footage - mainly circuit saloons!

"Golden Era"!, motor racing, saloons and single seaters, movie footage 1971-73, (Standard and Super 8 and some 16), most of the coverage from 1972.

Film was professionally transferred to VHS in the 1980's and recently put into digital format, with some restorative work done.

Film footage was all taken by Martin Bearda and is reproduced and available for sale with his kind permission. The early part of the film is a little grainy and has some colour imperfections, but it rapidly improves and the colour and crispness is very evocative of the era. Martin has produced many great views by using diverse locations to film and this adds a lot of interest to the film. Please note the movie is SILENT, has no sound (typical of the era) and runs over an hours duration.

    FEATURES:
Starts with the December 1971 Bay Park International 1971. Meetings covered also include Levin Dec 19th 1971, NZ Grand Prix 1972, Benson and Hedges & Golden 100 1972, Pukekohe Gold Star Oct 1972, Bay Park Oct 22nd 1972, Gold Star Pukekohe Nov 1972, Bay Park Int Dec 1972, NZ Grand Prix Jan 1973

There is lots of wonderful footage of the "Big Banger's", Allan Moffat, Pete Geoghegan, Paul Fahey, Rod Coppins, Red Dawson, Dennis Marwood, Mal Ramsay (Kingswood Repco) Frank Gardner Chev Camaro etc

Lots of GTHO, Charger, Monaro and XU1 coverage along with NZ Saloon Championship races in the up to 1 litre and 4.1 litre categories.

F5000's get some footage including some fascinating view of the ill fated Graeme Lawrence JBL Lola T300

A great insight into an earlier motor racing era, with some intriguing pit scenes as well. Also has a dash of something different with coverage of a gymkhana at the 1972 NZ Hot Rod Festival in Whakatane.

DVD discs are priced at $50 each plus postage. ( I have only 10 available at this stage and depending on interest this may be the total allocation). If you're interested in this rare opportunity to view some classic footage from the "golden era", please contact Gerard Richards, either through this thread, or at mairangiman@hotmail.com to arrange purchase or to find out more details
