There were 3 of these Scarabs at Goodwood this year in the Front Engined GP car race. It's funny how cars like these and the ex Pat Hoare Ferrari which were uncompetitive and obsolete in period are now desirable because they are the last of a breed.

According to my trusty "The Grand Prix Year 1960" by Big Lou Stanley, there were two Scarabs for Chuck Daigh and Lance Reventlow in 1960, their only race finish was the last race also the last race of the 2.5 litre Formula, the US GP at Riverside where Daigh finished 5 laps behind.

In the flesh these cars were very bulky like a too short Indy Roadster while the period photos made them look quite svelte.
