Bob Wallace and the Camoradi USA connection
Came across a picture and some details of the 1960 season of racing for Camoradi.
The picture show Dan Gurney in the Maserati Tipo 61 " Birdcage " which he co-drove with Stirling Moss at Sebring - the 12 Hour Grand Prix for Sports Cars and the car later went to Europe and won the Nurburgring 1000.
With the note that Bob Wallace was involved with Camoradi and was at Le Mans in 1960 with the Team, would presume he had some involvement with the Sebring and Nurburgring Races too.
The photo from Arve Nicholson archives.

As noted in Post #2,
" Bob and John [ Ohlson ] made their way to Italy, despite neither being able to string together a sentence in Italian.
Upon arrival in Italy, Wallace found soon after there were no jobs going at Maserati, but the privateer team Camoradi USA enlisted Bob as a mechanic.
Bob fettled their Maserati Tipo 61 Birdcage and Corvette, before travelling with the team to Le Mans in 1960.
"
A bit of a side story -
" Camoradi: Cas(s)ner Motor Racing Division, owned by Lloyd "Lucky" Cas(s)ner, ex driver and Brigitte Bardot's lover. He died in a car racing accident. "
- never put the " Ca Mo Ra Di " like that knew it was " Lucky " Casner was involved but thought it was just an " Italian " word.
Name correctly spelt Casner
