Bry3500, they are cool I had the Zephyr and Anglia [ Matchbox ] left the Zephyr standard but turned the Anglia into a Breadvan type .. then unscrewed the base and put in on a Faller 1;72 scale slot car chassis, was no good, body too heavy,
my brother in his Porsche alway2 beat me.. s
Bry3500.. have the Zephyr as original [ not Ernie's ] and did the Fastback thing on an Anglia, using cardboard and resin for the back and filed down the front guards to round off the headlights sadly now gone.
Only taken me 3 years to comment, Oh well .. not in a hurry these days !!
Love the NZ tribute cars !
I have no models anymore, but I bought these as a pair a few years back and they live in wait at a friend's place in Melbourne for some fun when passing through town. Don't even start on Jimmy's black helmet...

Would like to find a source for the Shell Racing New Zealand decals as used in late sixties/early seventies which featured Shell logo and white steering wheel on red background. They were on just about every NZ car raced in the era. I had a couple on my Lotus when I raced it in Historics. Full size or scale are ok.

Chaindrive, thanks, I may do that for a garage scene I am going to make when i get all my models unpacked .. may need your expertise when it happens .. presume you can do that with any type of sign or logo - the printing onto a decal sheet instead of paper ..
Cheers

Thanks for that, how close would your pic be to full size? From memory that appears to be close to it. Is it my imagination or did the early sixties/seventies ones have a simple white steering wheel with less detail and different wording?
These models are deeply detailed replicating every aspect of the originals.

Here are PDL I and PDL II together. PDL I was made from a standard Mustang to which Tony scratch built the flares from plastic card, scratch built the interior, and added new wheels etc. PDL II is from a kit of Charlie Kemp's famous IMSA Mustang II from which Tony then made an entire new front from scratch. Is that about right Tony?
