The third Aussie combination was 'Pete' Geoghegan, back again, but unfortunately not in his new Monaro as it had just been finished and he felt it wasn't really fair to run it untried in New Zealand. Instead, he brought over the Porsche his brother Leo drove in Aussie saloon races, this being the car that Jim Palmer once owned and raced here, although it has been drastically altered since then.
The Grace Bros-Levis car was painted yellow, is right hand drive and is now owned by Reg Moore. Contrary to what most people thought, the motor is actually smaller than that in the Craven Mild Porsche Pete raced here before, being 2.8 litres and runs on carburettors. However, the motor is possibly more powerful and the car 300lbs lighter, so the Grace Bros car is faster.
Pete hadn't driven this car before, and an oil leak problem in practice meant he did very few laps, and wasn't given an official time from what we could see.

This was also the first meet for the Halliday Capri. That then would mean the Craven Mild/B&H was in NZ either the end of 73 or beginning 74 and the Grace Bros pic is from end December 74.
