Hiding in this group is Allan Horners Sprite which has a custom nose and runs a Toyota Twincam motor
Allan runs the car in the Classic Trial series at Hampton Downs and Pukekohe.

" ROGBJ8 " was there - the only Healey I saw [ arrived as some cars were already heading home ].

July 1962. Hollywood Walk of Fame at Vine St and Hollywood Blvd.
When Judy's relatives visited California from Wisconsin they always visited Hollywood, Disneyland before going on to Las Vegas.
Here are Uncle Joe and Aunt Doris checking out the celebrity star for actress Dinah Shore.
(Note Aunt Doris's large purse to hold all those Las Vegas coins !)
They are across the road from the famous Capitol Studios building where many well known songs/ artists were recorded.

Behind them is a Austin Healey (BN 4 ? )with steel disc wheels and hub caps which is a rare sight today.
(Note the lack of traffic and a convertible Morris Minor approaching the lights in the background. )

Ken H, yes would say BN4, as definitely 100 -Six, has the crease in the bonnet [ hood in the USA ] and those steel wheels would be very rare in the USA.

Interesting timing of your post, as BMC BOY [ Ross Cammick ] called in to today and delivered a 1;18 scale Model that his nephew didn't want anymore, Not a Healey 100 though, but a model of my other great sports car, a Triumph TR4 in French/Powder Blue. A good find for the collection.
Ross still has his BN7, the two seater version of the first 3000, but arrived in the daily driver a Honda HRV. No photos to show.

Gerry Coker the designer of the Austin Healey 100 passed away recently in his 90's and a number of tributes have been posted in his honour with images including these two line drawings of the 100 signed by Gerrry Coker -one was when he was guest at the 2000 AH Clubs Australian Rally.

I had an envelope A3 size with the same image on like the second above - acquired at Snowmass Colorado in 1982 which has vanished over the intervening period of 38 years and 7 house moves..

A photo of OON439 in the Foyer of the Royal Automobile Club Offices and Clubrooms in the UK.



OON439 and the 100S Specification Coupe [rear of car ] that was Donald Healey's personal car for many years



A letter that Clas Arleskar has and a photo of when he tried to buy OON439 in 1982 for GBP15,000.
There was comment that you could by a reasonable house [ average price ] in 1982 for GBP22,500.

with the notation
" Arthur Kennard raced in standard four cylinder form [ for the 1955/56 and 1956/57 ] and is seen here at the little known Bryndwr " lake " circuit being chased by a midget ",
The Modifications took place in mid late 1957 in time for the 1957/58 racing season.

The plate is stated as " personalised " and is I presume the plate it had when it had a huge accident in January 1967.
Car was " lost " [ stored away ] until around 1984 and rebuilt around 2012/13

Thanks Milan, Good to know Russell is using the car as it should be.
Usually runs in the " Classic Trial " series with Allan Horner in his Toyota powered Sprite.

The car was created as a " Works " Rally Replica by Andrew Shrimpton from Wellington many years ago now.

Another Rally Car - this one a genuine 1964 works one which Paul Woolmer fettles for the owner in the UK.







" BRX852B " was driven by Paddy Hopkirk with Henry Liddon in the Spa-Sofia-Liege Rally in August 1964 Rally Number #29 where it retired with gearbox issues and by Timo Makinen with Dave Barrow in the November 1964 RAC Rally where they came 2nd overall and 1st in Class.
Car seemed to disappear from the " Works " Rally Team as it does feature in any Works records in the Bill Price book
" The BMC/BL Competitions Department ". - Some works cars went to Private Owners after a few events as " Works " cars
The subsequent Registration Numbers BRX853B and BRX854B were MGB's and competed for a couple of seasons with BMC..
