    Shell Motor Racing films

We all grew up enjoying monthly movie nights at our local car clubrooms watching films like the Shell Motor Racing Series, entitled "The History of Motor Racing"
I have a set of 6 x 16mm films in their original Shell branded canisters. Their titles are:

    Part 1. Heroic Days - 1902
    Part 2. 1919/25/26
    Part 3. The Titans
    Part 4. The Titans (2)
    Part 5. Racing Re-born 1940/48
    Part 6. The Champions 1949/52

I guess these can be transferred to CD/DVD these days but they are a time capsule of early motor racing which needs to be preserved. I intend to sell the full set and thought this might be a logical place to start to find a happy home for them.
    Establishing a*value could be fun!
Are there still such things as 16mm projectors these days?

    Good call Donald

As for other you tube finds in recent weeks:

1958 Belgian GP - in colour, and I think also Shell
1984 F2 race from Silverstone - clear proof that you only need two cars to make a race
and another I did because I was looking for something else:

    I entered 'scca runoffs 1978'

I didn't get exactly what I was looking for but there is a bloke with a lot of uploads - is that the right term even? - his name is 'oldsccaguy' and this morning I watched a handful of races from races from Riverside plus a couple of Can-Am races - lots of interviews including Bruce, a bit of Chris and a very pissed off Denny - recommended viewing if you happen to like the stuff I like
