Still think they are a darn good looking machine........especially in this lowered, aggressive, bumperless stance. Have owned 2000's, 2.5's, PI's, saloons and estates.......I rather yearn for another one.......Probably if I get to drive one will think...'how did I put up with this old truck'.....ah well, dreams are free.

Like you AMCO have owned, but only 1 Mk 2 PI, but had driven a Mark 1, PI, also driven Vitesse 1600, which I enjoyed and owned a GT6, and a TR4A, so a bit of Triumph in the blood along with the Austin-Healeys and an MG.

As el Presidente of the Wellington Triumph Sports Car Club, I can think of four fully caged, track oriented Triumph saloons in the club from Wanganui to Wellington that for one reason or another haven't got out on the track much lately. All four owners have no intention of selling them and I expect at least two (if not three) to compete at our annual Taupo Track 3 meet on the 9th of April (plug, plug).

People would be more inclined to put them on the track if they weren't so heavy (and hence, expensive to make competitive)...
