Thanks for all the info everyone, I now have a complete picture. My car was No33 driven by Peter Hughes / Tony Lawrence and finished 7th outright, after some time in the pits with gear selection problems. I have read that it put in 2nd fastest lap of the day late in the race when Mr Hughes was trying to claw back some lost time. So GG7963 was indeed one of the 3 "Works" cars entered by Torino Motors.

45DCOE, read the story, do you have page 2, .. I thought they were brilliant, I tried to buy a Red one, not a raced car in the later 1970's wasn't happening.. so bought an older Triumph TR4 instead ..
