You forced me to go back to the race reports...

It's Bill O'Brien's car (Everlast Batteries, Canberra), probably in this event driven by Kevin Bartlett. Check the hazy name over the windscreen:

And the FF Elfin is definitely a Stillwell car:

But is it Knight, Perkins or Stillwell?

I do believe it is Richard Knight in the #36 Stillwell Elfin. It is his yellow helmet.

Perkins helmet at this stage was black

The event is at the Warwick Farm AGP meeting in November 1970.

The Formula Fords did not get much time in the sun. There was only one race for them, a 10 lapper starting at 12 noon.
So less than 20 minutes. A long journey for the interstaters.

    See also this Autopics photo:

    http://autopics.com.au/richard-knigh...ll-thorncraft/

That's Knight leading, I think, Bob Beasley, with Perkins third in the other Stillwell Elfin.

    This bloke got around!

What have we here? Baskerville, Winton, Amaroo Park and Calder?

It's Peter Larner in the F2 version of the Elfin 700 at Amaroo. Two shots clearly shot for Ross Woodbridge, I don't know who the early Holden belongs to nor the other Toranas.

WIthout any specific knowledge, the #9 Torana, looks like the same colour sceme as Beechey's Monaro, however it looks like it says Leffler above the front left wheel arch

The yellow Torana #9 is John Ziegler

The humpy is one of the O'Brien Diesel Engineering Team. That's easy there is one in just about every group.

The Elfin is Peter Larner, a car they are still trying to sell

The red Torana just may be Ross Woodbridge

Steve these are great photos you are putting up, especially for us older Aussies with reasonable memories of the times. Not programme looker uppers.

A comment please. Can we please have less of the Obrien Diesel Eningeering cars and Ross Woodbridge? They seem to be in so many posts. More variety please

Thanks terry, glad you're enjoying them.

Unfortunately this is the total collection as I've received it. Its a combination of several collections brought together by Gary Clarke. He didn't take any of these photos himself. The O'Brien cars I assume are a personal collection from that family.

    Some thoughts on theses photos:

    -number 1 Don't know and don't care
-number 2 Moffat leading Jane at Oran Park in last round of 1971 Touring Car Championship. This was early in the fantastic race.
The photo in post # 47 is later in the race with Jane leading. Moffat had gear selection problems and had to come to complete stop. Then stormed back to be right on Jane's tail at the finish. Was the race where some fool drove an officials Valiant into the race for several laps. Moffat claimed to have not even seen it he was concentrating so much (typical Moffat). A great race.
-number 3 Yet another photo of the O'Brien Diesel Engineering team. I think I've seen that before. Oh yeas it's in post #23.
--number 4 John Cannon in the Hogan Racing McLaren M10B at the Warwick Farm round of the 1971 Tasman Series. Cannon had won the US series in 1970. David Hobbs drove the same car the following year to win the US series.

I'd still like to know who was driving the British Leyland works Mini in post # 8.

Terry, looking through Autopics and Old Race Photos websites, the only 2 Mini's in those colours with the same sponosship decals I could see were, Don Holland and Lakis Manticas, the Manticas one with a LOT more decals though, and the only clear shot of Holland, so I think, your original response on page 1 of this thread is right, but, that is through researching only through images, with no other evidence.

Thanks Sean mac, yes it has got me baffled.

In the phot you can see through the rear window that Lakis in the green car next to it.

When you look closely at the front of the Mini is that a later square nose version or the earlier round nose. I think it might be the square nose.

Sean.. I am getting old took me a while to translate the code, a bit of an enigma ..
Have it now thanks .. the tracks !! Levin, Pukekohe, Wigram, Teretonga, Warwick Farm !, Sandown, Surfers Paradise .. and i thought the series was four races in each country, that may have been earlier, when Longford was still used in the 1960's .. Have lots more reading to do now ..

    cheers

    Roger D ..
PS didn't get to the wet Lakeside, but did enjoy your videos from the 2015 meeting, up at the top of the hill .. and those sliding HMC .. Camaros, Mustangs etc .. great ..
