Sometimes we see something from our past that brings back memories.
We Morrinsville -ites spent many weekends in the late 60s going over to Hamilton and enjoying the rough and tumble
of NZ style stock car racing thanks to the entrepreneur go getter Spinner Black plus Terry Scott and John Paton etc. at the Forest Lake Stadium Speedway.
We did not realize how lucky we were at the time, just took it all for granted.
It might be a bit late, but thanks Spinner and also for giving me a job in the summer of 1970/71. (There was never a dull moment ! )

Just by chance a magazine from 1956 I was looking at last evening had this on the opening of Forest Lake Stadium.
