    Bud Moore

Sad to learn the legendary NASCAR and Trans-Am team owner Bud Moore has passed away. He was also a decorated war hero. RIP.

In another life, when I was Tech. Training for Arrow Automotive Industries...I frequently visited the Arrow factory in Spartanburg SC...just up the street from Bud Moore's shop.
Arrow, at that time, sponsored an SCCA Mustang and Moore's input was sometimes very useful in the development of the race car.
Bud carried the scars and iron-mongery from his WW2 injuries, with both dignity and fortitude.
That Bud Moore was a true-blue hero, there is no doubt at all......complemented by his undoubted abilities in producing race winners in both NASCAR and TransAm series.
    A GREAT loss indeed....RIP Bud
