Due to a long planned family reunion next weekend I just had the opportunity to attend one day of the Pre Reunion meet on Saturday which meant driving the 200 miles in 3 hours and becoming immersed in the activities at Laguna Seca. I was a little weary by the time I got home that night. The advantages for me is that it is uncrowded and one can park close to the track and the price is about 1/3 of the main weekend.
Always a welcome sight are the hills around Laguna Seca and no fog !
Then park close to the track between turns Two and Three and watch a genuine 1960 Maserati T 61 or a 1955 Jaguar D-Type flash by.

Australians Paul and Christine Freestone were at Laguna Seca with their two Holdens. An FX and an FJ. Both looked outstanding.
The 1948 Holden 215/FX # 25 entered in the Group 1B 1947-1955 Sports Racing and GT Cars.

This 1965 Ferrari 250 LM # 526 looked magnificent.
It was from Miles Collier Collection at the Revs Institute at Naples, Florida.
Could it possibly be the ex Andrew Buchanan car ?

Although it cost $ 40.00 for the parking and programme on the Saturday, not everything was a bargain that day.
For example :
1937 Delahaye 135M Competition Court Roadster.

Some Formula One JPS Lotus shots.
The 1982 Lotus 91/5 # 12 driven by English driver Greg Thornton who also drove F5000 at Taupo in January.
We had a bit of a chat about that event. Here he gives the thumbs up as he returns from a practice session. I always liked the John Player Special paintwork.
Not much nose / toes protection !

A 1982 Mirage M12.

Some Corvette pics.
Ken H Corvette #48 a Greenwood and #88 look a bit strange - huge guards and narrow wheels - !! Love them though.
I see Hotwheels has come out with a #76 Greenwood wide bodied car - must be my next purchase as have them in 1;43 so a 1;72/76 will be good..
