During this Carona shutdown I have had a chance to check some old photo cards, thumb drives etc. and found some that did not get entered the first time around.
Forgive me if I do repeat but some scenes of Laguna are better than no racing events at all.
The first one reminded me of the day in September 1972 that I had gone to Trojan Works in Croydon, London, to be interviewed for a job as a "gofer"and as we ate lunch a truck pulled out with a brand new blue McLaren M8F on the back on it's way to be sent to the States. It turned out to be the last McLaren vehicle to be built by Trojan.
At Laguna Seca in August 2016 I once again saw this car for the first time. It was in a different shade of blue but it was chassis numbered 9-72 which stood for that September 1972 production.
It is still a magnificent machine as are all Can-Am cars from that era.
