    Another Off-Shore' member

    Hi to all.
There's not a lot to tell............aged Baby-Boomer; early (ish) member Pukekohe Car Club; quite likely their most inept/unsuccessful competitor......it took some years; more money and a few body panels to come to the realization......that some have it...and some don't.
Attempted to compete with: Triumph Herald; Singer Vogue; Fiats-1500, 2300, 850; Escort 1300-repowered with a 1600
All in all, the Fiat 1500 ( ex Tim Bailey, with some Nardi eng. modifications ) was, believe it or not, the most satisfying and reliable of the lot.
Live off-shore on the non-shaking; non-brush fire side of the USA where I rarely (nowadays) autocross an ex-SCCA Sunbeam Tiger that I've owned for longer than I care to remember (30yrs+); daily drive a Subaru and weekends drive a hairdresser's car ( a Mazda MX-5 to the uninitiated). Still keep the old family Rover P6B in NZ ....where, thanks to the expertise of a fellow forum member, it remains mobile and surprisingly reliable and economical to drive....on my last visit..April/May 2011, it covered 5,172km around the central N.I. area, no dramas or break-downs, and only one speeding ticket.
Can't ask for better than that............thank you Bob H.

Hi there Neville, welcome to the site, its great to have you here. And you're not off-shore, The Roaring Season is international. I'd love to see a couple of photos of your Sunbeam Tiger. I think these are fantastic cars. I see the old Doane Spencer Hollywood Sports Cars racing Tiger was restored a couple of years ago.
