Hq racing i recall seeing someone racing their xa falcon with them .

Toward the end of HQ racing in Sth Island two XA Falcons were built to try & inject some Ford/GM interest into the series- One Driven by Darryl Phillips ( Ashburton) & the other by the late Russ Murray ( Dunedin ), while probably too late to save the series, both cars were competitive within a couple of meetings ( 200 cu in motor ) with mods along the lines as permitted in the HQ, only difference really was a different cam profile to work with the long rod ratio of the Falcon.
