Hi tony, this was high tech in its day, way before on board computers n stuff, I remember sitting in it, and asking him about all the gauges,he hadcables running off all corners of the car, running back to the dash, and the wee ruler gauges, that moved up n down as he went over bumps n round corners, which he videoed, in car , then watched the footage to see what was happening.u can see the row of ruler type knobs all in a row to the left.

Flagging at the Pukekohe hairpin, Rodger was the fastest of any car through there, bar none (and that includes the single seaters).

He was good, always trying stuff. Here's what he did to his Yamaha TZ750 Viko Special, today rebuilt and running. After taking a look at Rodger's proposal, the NZACU bosses decided against allowing it...

Commodore went down the cliff on way back from Teratonga. Celestte was a few years prior, it was mums car until she left it home one day when Steve and Neville Agass thought it would make a good race car and proceeded to chop it up

    Waldron/ Jonestone/ Agass Escort

Before all this,Dave had done some research on some info I got hold of about Bob Holmwood, who is on here, and Bruce Mannon possibly knowing the whereabouts.I think these drew a blank also.
Then while I was doing some digging,I had someone tell me a friend of theirs was building a replica of the Raycroft car and the original car was apparently under a tree in Timaru.....Still in the Raycroft colours! Which seems a bit dubious, considering Dave sold the car in the early 80s.
The Mk 1 Escort changed sheds on the 31 st April 2016 , is in the process of being stripped to be sand blasted 7th May,all the colours under the blue show its origins including Neville Agass's colour scheme, even the hole on the left hand side behind the door at just under window height. It will be returned to the Raycroft colours and be kept as close to period as possible, with only some safety updates where needed.
