As Gary indicated in another thread. he had a marvellous time in the Zakspeed at HD and speaking with Roger after some of his races over the second weekend he said that it was a fantastic little car and he revelled in each drive that he had in it. Speaking to people at the race meetings, all are blown away by the number and variety of cars that we have in this country. Some of these are just not around in other countries where you would expect them to be. For this we have to thank the enthusiasts around the country who purchase and then take on the extraordinary job of rebuilding these to race again.

Overseas they are put into museums and never see the light of a race track again - not so in NZ - thank God. Factory Escorts, Capri's, Sierra's, BMW's the list is impressive.

Talking to John McIntyre and Andy Booth (saw Greg Murphy but didn't get to talk to him) they both had drives of historic cars and revelled in the experince and would like to do it again. Even Jim Richards is real keen to come back next year with his Falcon Sprint and join in with the HMC racers. I am sure that after the great racing this year there will be others who will take the plunge and resurrect or convert their cars to the required specs. Now won't that be a sight to behold !!!!

Some great shots from 'Powder' & 'Snoozin'
    Any more to come guys?
I'm going to try to keep posting to this thread as I process my images, with the idea that enthusiasts that live overseas, or couldn't make it, can experience what we were privileged to witness first hand.

Nigel, can you please flick me an email: enquiries@monsterracewear.co.nz I'm hoping to get a couple of pics off you for a couple of Australian Muscle Car magazine articles on the NZFMR. Thanks.

Hi Photosmith.......I would be interested in purchasing some shots that you have of the Amco Mini to add to the album. Can you get in touch with me on....bentley6@xtra.co.nz Alternatively send them to this email address, but quite happy to pay for proper prints, say....200 by 120 size. Thanks, Gerald.

Thanks to everyone who has posted photos and info on this thread. Awesome stuff! Isn't the internet a wonderful thing! This thread was up and running and with photos added while the NZFMR was still taking place. I hope the same happens at other events around the world as they happen.
