Smokey, in his unique way, once described the place as this: "It was the way all garages went. You started off with a little two-stall thing. Then you got a couple of bucks and you added four more stalls, then you got some more bucks and you added eight more and pretty soon you had a mess like this place. Finally, you got back and admired your handiwork after twenty years; everything was leaning on everything else. The front part was rotten and about to fall over. Really, nothing was worth a shit, but that was the way it went".

Smokey was a legend, and left quite a hole when he died in 2001.
