I was a good friend of Bruce and it was tragic what his mental health made him do. Has any one got one of these cars or any body shells. He was very talented.

Not sure how I missed the ad for the Gardner/Grice Corvair. 12K doesn't sound like much, but that was 30 years ago. Plus, I think the car had been outlawed, so surely there was nowhere to race it? Didn't Gardner scrap it in the end?

Nice one, I was starting to think I was going crazy when I mentioned on the Pinepac Mustang thread one of these cars was up for sale 7-8 years ago for 35K. Both cars now race in Historic Group C and A, and at least one of them has been for sale more recently, with another 100K added to the price tag.

Is this the one under discussion on another thread- Abes Babe at Baypark.?
    talk was $175k aus.
The value of authentic race cars is a bit like central Auckland house prices.
And consequently they are careful who they exercise and play with.

I could be wrong John but I think the one in the ad is the ex-Don Smith/Bo Seton car which became the first Pinepac car.

On another thread there was discussion about Greg Taylor and his cars. In the January 1994 issue of Speedsport he was advertising these cars for sale.

I'd not noticed that before Jim! That would have been the height in in-car bling.

I don't know if this is the same car that was advertised for $35000. This one was for sale in December 1993.

Hey thats great Milan! The car advertised I believe is the second Pinepac car, which the Pinepac team built themselves. But the car advertised further up the page for 35K, I'm not sure which one that is. Tony Rutherford will probably know though.
