Yes Jim, got a list at home some were, includes Bullivant, Baker, Cullinane, Friend, Borrie, and the present guy who has had for maybe the longest of all.(damn name has gone) He has it red and goes real good in it. Think his brother has another one as well.(green think)
Second photo - I was standing alongside after this race when the Clerk of Course gave Cobber Hurley (the Healey driver) a dressing down for not rejoining the circuit at the point he'd spun off it
I'm sure everyone will recognise the other car in that pic as Stuart Donnelly's Zephyr Special...
David the A40 is Kerry Grant. I got to see the Brian Ax A40 very regularly in my last few years at Palmerston North Boys High, because his son, Clark drove it to school every day once he was able to drive to school.
Just talking to dad he was saying that its Tony in the Peugeot and Doug in the Lola in post #2

Incident at the hairpin 70 f5000 Levin
The elusive Mr Griffiths in the BRP, actually under its own power, a rare occasion!
I can remember Rob Campbell of Hot Rod Magazine showing me a sponsorship proposal from Kaye Griffiths for the BRP Tasman trip, as I recall the intention was to win all the races and the series and for a huge amount of dollars Hot Rod Magazine could have some signage on the car. I guess a large number of proposal letters were sent to prospective Kiwi concerns, none appear to have taken up the offer, but I do understand Mr Griffiths departed NZ very quietly and quickly owing large sums of money around the country.
The incident at the Levin hairpin was in the Gold Star race at the International meeting after Bryan Faloon disintergrated the Climax engine leaving a large trail of oil and engine parts in the braking area. Spinners included Graeme Lawrence and Dennis Marwood fortunately without hitting anything.
