ERC, May get to " Caffeine and Classics " for 28th June as will be in Chatswood and with a bit of luck in the MX5, it is going into to have the work done this Monday -new brake and throttle mounting and pedals - well good condition second hand set, plus a few other things.
Fingers are crossed it is fixed without a huge bill ??.
In Auckland this time for only a few days but then back again before the 28th.
    Cheers

Great! Are you able to take the boxes of NZCC mags? I'll probably be at C & C and with a 'For Sale' sign in the Cooper S. 2002 with just 41,000kms on the clock, NZ new, manufactured to order, with black leather upholstery. Need to slim down the collection. Marcos will be next, but after a bit of TLC has been applied - and a WoF.

I am in Chatswood, so easy for you to collect.

Roger, my offer still stands, I have a half trailer that I have towed mx5's on in the past, if I can help with your repairs, I am only happy to do so, regards Kev

Certainly will, they will go to Hillcrest where I have other mags and hopefully the MX5 will go back there.

Kevin, thanks for the offer but think the repairs are sorted - will know more tomorrow when it gets hauled away to get the work done.
    Cheers

I saw my first Gordon Keeble at the Matamata street race back in 1964. I think I saw my first E Type the same day. Very exciting it was.

Those Gordini's or is it plural still Gordini ? Love the French Blue colour - should be on the Ken H Etceterini page too ?? One was posted there a while ago - off to check.

  16. #3416
Nigel, was the Gordon Keeble a dark blue one?

I believe there were two Gordon Keebles in NZ, the blue one (which I last saw with Minilite wheels, up for sale at the rear of the Victoria Market for about $60,000, quite a few years ago), a white one, DQY 804, which may have popped up on Trade Me not too long ago and I'm fairly sure there was another that was mentioned when the subject was last raised, possibly a maroon one being restored in Tauranga.

There again, it could be my old memory playing tricks - again.

  18. #3418
I thought the only Gordon Keeble I had seen was maroon. Echoing the last phrase on post 3417.

  19. #3419
There was one used as a course car at Pukekohe back in the 60s which I thought was the coolest car I had ever seen. Still do actually. My failing memory thinks it was blue.

    Your memory isn't fading Allan.

Taken at Ellerslie 1990. One of the few cars that would have looked better with the original wheels. In my opinion anyway.

This has been posted on here before.

Going through my own pics, I have photographed 7 different Gordon Keebles and Dad's company, photographed the interior of another one in the UK that I haven't yet scanned. The blue one above is the only one I have seen in NZ.

    Check this out

Much as I love various other front engined cars of the 1960's, this is still my number 1, despite the American engine.
