Stuart Graham's 1970 Camaro from the British Saloon Car Championship

    Hi All,
A friend of mine is looking for information (and images) on the Brut 33 sponsored 1970 Camaro that Stuart Graham raced in the British Saloon Car Championship. Apparently he won 18 races from 1973-80 in this Camaro, and finished third in the 1974 British Saloon Car Championship, so there should be some info out there somewhere on it. The Camaro was featured in the December 1974 Motor Sport magazine. Has anyone got a copy?

Any information would be much appreciated.

In the August 2012 Motorsport, Simon Taylor did one of there " Lunch With " interviews with Stuart Graham ....He was just as good on 2 wheels as on 4 .

    Cheers

Thanks Lynds. You're absolutely right about his success on two wheels. In fact Wikipedia only covers his Grand Prix motorcycle career (he is the son of the 1949 500cc world champion, Leslie Graham), and totally ignores his successes on four wheels.
    Cheers, John

Stuart Graham also raced the single seater Ginetta (G3?) that was later owned by my lodger in the UK, (the one who picked up the Billy Apple Lola T212).

    Hi Steve,
I can neither confirm or deny those rumours! After all, the Camaro isn't mine, so I shouldn't spill the beans. It is owned by a good friend of mine who lives on Auckland's North Shore. He wants to use the Brut 33 colour scheme / livery, because his car is going to be a bit of a Brute - like his last car! Ask Colin - he may tell you.

PS : Did you receive the $50.00?

Yes I did John, thank you very much, its much appreciated. I sent you an email about this, did you not get it?

Re the Camaro, its all a-OK, the beans were spilled in the latest NZV8 mag, along with photos. Frank de Jongs excellent touring car racing site might produce something of use re photos: http://www.touringcarracing.net/

No Steve - didn't receive your e-mail. Not to worry - as long as you got the donation / subscription!
