    "Streets Ahead". The story of the 1953 Dunedin Road Race

    Not sure if this video has been circulated before so apologies if it has. Presented by Dougal Stevenson, written and narrated by Scott Thomson, this is the story of the first road race around the streets of Dunedin. It uses archival footage commissioned especially for the 1953 event interspersed with interviews with some of the original participants.

    First time I have seen it. A very special record of NZ motor sport history and hopefully it will continue to exist.

    This may be a great area in Dunedin to have a street race in maybe 2024!
