Thanks Sean - fantastic photos
Great work Sean, these are really cool. Thanks to Kevin for sharing these. Interesting to see a colour photo of the ex-Red Dawson Camaro in post #32, when it was owned by Don Peddie and Allan Dick, and driven by Kevin Haig, with Zephyr Heaters sponsorship. I believe Ken Smith raced this car once for Peddie/Dick also???
Ok so 1978, there are some lost cars and other very interesting visitors here. The greats, this is noteable after last weekends win for Nico Rosberg. 1978 visitors to Teretonga including Keke, Bobby Rahal, Danny Sullivan, Larry Perkins and future touring car great Pierre Dieudonne standing at the back of the Ehrlich. I will stand to be corrected with this, but Dieudonne was, like Paul Frere a Belgian journalist as well a driver.
Behind Danny Sullivans car in the first picture of the last post is a green March whose is it?
Ok so thats all this time, hopefully 79 and 80 will follow soon
Ok, so the last of this particular thread are 6 pictures from 1979, featuring Teo Fabi, Larry Perkins, Grant Campbell, Dave McMillan and Reg Cook. hope you have all enjoyed these as much as I have,
Regards
Sean
Post #50 shows a young Mark Scott (and I think Ron McMillan) changing engines with the help of a large piece of wood.
Mark was Chief Mechanic for James Hunt in his Championship winning year and went on to build the Ridley and Scott Le Mans cars.
11/05/12 Would you believe Riley and Scott Le Mans cars. Got my film directors mixed up!

Hi Guys
Now this is all just Fantastic. Great pics, now why can't racing be as laid back and exciting and family orientated now a days.
Just awesome.
Thanks
Ian
Amazing pics Sean, thanks heaps for posting these. Thanks too Kevin for allowing them to be shared.
Can anyone fill me in on the ShellSport Escort #27 in Post #45?
Believe they were among first to use to some extent steve. This or sister car ended up with Kenny i think.
