Yes it was and coincidently I was talking to the original owner and driver just the other day.

Absolutely concur with Steve's remarks and it is amazing the photos that are now posted on here that we might never have had a chance to see otherwise. Makes you wonder what is still hidden away for the future.

Brian Thomson Mustang - 1968

This would be the ex-Norm Beechey Mustang? This must be after Thomson went and lived and raced in the UK. Its rare to see a colour photo of this car when Thomson owned it. I bet it got his attention when that thing was rotating on the top of the mountain! Thats a long way down with no walls.

Dennis Geary Lola - 1968

Apparently Denis Geary converted a Lola T70 into a road car in the early 1970s. Is that this car?

Yes that is the car. It was brought to Australia by John Scott-Davies.
Yes that is the ex Beechey Mustang just after it's return to Australia. Bryan managed to spin just before dropping down into the Dipper.
