    1973

    1973 was a very hd porno izle important year in our family. My parents both turned 30, they celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary and most importantly, I was born.

    Now after a recent visit to NZ, I came home with a publication that I had flicked through on numerous occasions, the 1973 Shell Yearbook, so I am going to post the images that were printed in that publication.

    Now I would apologise at the outset. this copy is lacking the covers and any initial pages. It has been like this as long as I can remember, therefore, i am unable to give any credit to any of the photographers.

    Rod Coppins capped a very successful season by winning the BNSW NZ Saloon Car Championship in his Pontiac Firebird

    Best race of the sason and one of the best ever seen was the tremendous dice between Jim Richard's Imp and Reg Cook's Mini in the opening BNSW race brazzers at Ruapuna. In both heats the cars were no more than inches apart, although Cook managed to win them both.

    Peter Sundberg had one of his better races at the Grand Prix meeting, although this was in part helped by the pre race problems that beset rivals

    Alan Boyle repainted the Coke Viva, fiddled with the suspension and gave the car a bigger heart making the very attractive Viva fully competitive in the 1001-4200 class.

    Allan Boyle now had the OHC Victor/ CF Bedford motor.They could take a lot of mods.
    1973 was also when my Fairmont Coupe was born.
    Is that the Aussie Ramsay in his HQ behind Coppins?

    Reading through the race review supplied, this would be heat 2 and Ramsay would be the only one that makes sense. Heat 1 his rear axle let go on the start line apparently.

    Austen Kyle was a new driver on the Formula Ford scene this season in a new car to New Zealand, a Crossle from Ireland. kyle met with mixed succss having more than this one off course excursion at Bay Park

    North Island ACE_OSCA racing lacked the big engined cars of the South, but the B Class (1601-4200cc) was very competitive. Dick Sellens made a last lap attempt to get past the Cortina of Murray Soames and Ron McPhail's Escort under braking for Levin hairpin, slid off onto the grass and hit the bank.

    Clyde Collins built up a winner with the ex-Dawson Mustang engined Mk3 Cortina. The car waved its inside front wheel in spectacular fashion but still ran away from the rest of its competitors

    Bruce Jenner made a couple of tips north for the North Island ACE-OSCA Series in the ex Coppins Camaro, but he found the cheeky big bore Mini of Grant Aitken more than enough competition on the tight Levin circuit

    Although not outstandingly fast the Buick powered Viva of Paul Kirk was fairly well sorted and reliable for the 1972-73 season, gaining an overall win in the North Island and a probable second in class in the South.

    There are shots from Tasman series, sports cars, GTX, B&H, Mini7 and rallying. However I am recovering from a migraine and my PC hard drive has died so it may be some time before I can post more images unfortunately.

    Cool to see a period pic of the Lyon dl2, which is owned by Dave Morrison, and has been for 25 odd years.I have had the pleasure of racing this car in the classics .it is undergoing a chassis up rebuild, first time in it's history it's been stripped down, still had original wiring loom etc in her.this car still holds the 2wd record at hillclimbs around the south island, and also won the 1988 Goldstar hillclimb championship in the hands of Trevor parmenter, and features on the manz championship list.also driven by Graeme Vaughan and myself, only 2 of these were built, not sure if this is car no 2 or the first one, sure looks like dl2, except for the nose cone.Dennis came and looked over the car a couple of years ago and was keen on buying it back.but she's not forsale

    Great to hear that Dave still has this car, I was another that he let loose in it.
